When artist and producer Whiskey Rivers uploaded the first version of Alone In The City to Postal, he didn’t think much of it. “It was late at night — just a melody and a mood. I almost didn’t post it,” he laughs.
That changed when Pierre Blondo, one-half of the production duo Songs With Friends, discovered the track through a Postal Track Request submission. Pierre had recently created a public request looking for pop ideas for sync opportunities — and Whiskey’s demo stood out instantly.
“I hit play, and within 10 seconds I knew it had something,” Pierre says. “Postal made it seamless. The file was already tagged with tempo and key, and I could preview it instantly. It felt like discovering a gem hidden in someone’s private library.”
After connecting through Postal, Whiskey shared the original stems and concept. With production support from Songs With Friends, the idea quickly took shape — blending Whiskey’s distinct mood-driven style with the duo’s polished production and arrangement. The result was a finished version of Alone in the City that captured the same emotion as the demo but on a whole new level.
“It’s crazy how one link started the whole thing,” Whiskey says. “I used to send out Dropbox folders and lose track of who even listened. Now everything’s organized — I can see who played it, who downloaded, and what version we’re on.”
Today, Alone In The City stands as a small success story in Postal’s growing creative community — proof that when sharing music is this easy, real collaborations follow.
